I awake, its morning
But couldn’t care less
So I return once more
To sweet sleep so dear
But awake only to realise
That enthusiasm for life
Still down at zero
And the questions linger
To torment me anew
Just how to face this day
And all of the people
Who rely on my work
When my only desire
Is to sink into oblivion.

Her name seeps
Seeps into my consciousness
That sinking sinking feeling
Is with me once more
My body is weakened and
My mind dulled by memories
That hold my attention
Though I try to push them away
Tears surface and flow
But my voice is yet still
And more questions to answer
Why oh why be good
And make the right choices
When your not wanted
Or even desired
By the only one that matters
I’m so empty inside
So so empty
How can I give
What I havent got
Within me the knowledge
Yet lacking the power
